Subject Organization

Albert’s Keystone Algebra I course is organized into short, formative assessments on specific topics.

Topic Quizzes

Each topic quiz is designed to be given in a single class period. The quiz questions mimic the rigor and format of the actual exam. Here are some examples of topic quizzes:
  • Topic Quiz | Write and Solve Linear Equations
  • Topic Quiz | Linear Functions
  • Topic Quiz | Compound Probability

Subtopics

Each topic contains two subtopics:
  • Multiple Choice Questions
  • Constructed Response Questions

Free Response Questions

The "Constructed Response Questions" subtopics contain free-response questions that align with that particular topic. These consist of one constructed response question with multiple parts.

Using Standards and Tags to Find Questions

Standards

Every question is aligned to the standards outlined in the Pennsylvania Keystone Eligible Content Standards: Algebra I and Pennsylvania Core Standards for Mathematics. All Eligible Content standards start with "PA EC", and all Pennsylvania state standards start with "PA CC".
You can find questions aligned to learning standards using our standards search tool. In the Standards drop-down at the top of the Assessments tab, you can search for standards by name (for example, PA CC.2.2.HS.D.7) or description. When you type in characters that match one of the standards, the drop-down will populate with matching standards.

Tags

In addition to standards, each question is assigned one or more tags to help differentiate between the wide variety of questions we offer. These tags are a word or phrase that indicate the mathematical content of the question, with all words lower-case and multiple word tags connected by a hyphen. For example, “linear-equations” or “slope”.
To search for a tag, click the Tags drop-down within the subject and enter the tag or content you're searching for in the search bar.

  • Free Entry - these appear only in the constructed response section of each quiz
  • Free Response - these appear only in the constructed response section of each quiz
  • Graphing - these appear only in the constructed response section of each quiz
